Terms and Conditions

1. I reserve the right to refuse service for reasons including, but not limited to:

  • Disrespect to myself or other customers.
  • Malicious exploitation of my warranty policy, including but not limited to willfully damaging products in order to get a refund or exchange.
  • Unlawful conduct.


2. All products come with a transferable lifetime warranty. I will repair or replace the item in question but will not refund unless it meets the criteria of my refund policy. 

  • Transferable means the item carries the warranty, not the customer. No proof of purchase or registration of any sort is required. 
  • Repairs have inexpensive fees that are quoted on a case by case basis. 
  • Replacement of the entire product(s) or individual components is at material cost, which is much cheaper than buying a new one. 
  • Replacement will be recommended if repair costs exceed material costs. 
  • Deliberate, permanent modifications including but not limited to spray painting voids the replacement warranty, but not the repair warranty.
  • The product must be returned. 
  • The customer must pay for shipping. 


The goal is to provide support to the customer for the life of the product. The things I make are made to last.

3. I will always strive to provide the best service possible. That being said, I might accidentally provide incorrect information, ship the wrong order or product to the wrong person or address, my website might go down. In the event that this happens, I'll make it right and compensate you appropriately for the nature and scale of the mistake.


4. The ASI logo, web imagery, and product designs are intellectual property of Above Standard Issue Solutions. They may not be copied or otherwise appropriated for commercial use.


5. Lead times will apply depending on the order size/contents. Custom orders are non refundable. 


6. I use a living design philosophy for my products, which means I am constantly working to improve them. The products will never be fundamentally changed but small changes will be made to improve fit and function, make production easier, or cheaper. This will always be reflected in the product descriptions on the site, but updated product photos will take longer.

Return and Refund Policy

  • Products may be returned for any reason by the original purchasing customer within 30 days of delivery at the customer's expense. 


  • Products must not have visible signs of wear, with the exception of items returned under warranty. 


  • To initiate a return, contact me at troy@abovestandardissuesolutions.ca  with Return <your order number> as the subject line. Describe the issue, and how you want it resolved and we'll go from there. If it's a warranty return, I will need to know how it happened and pictures of the product in question in order to verify that it meets the criteria for a warranty return/exchange prior to shipping.


  • Items returned under warranty will have return shipping cost coverage that will be reimbursed upon receipt and verification of the warranty claim. All warranty returns must be done by Canada Post Flat Rate Shipping or the shipping will not be reimbursed.
