General Product Information

Common to all:

Bullet points under all item descriptions. For finer details, see below:

All materials are NIR compliant, meet or exceed Milspec and are product of the USA. I would prefer to source these materials domestically, however these industries simply does not exist in Canada.

All product designs are original, but take inspiration from various existing, proven designs. They are made to be user friendly, easily repaired, and last the test of time. I use the same materials across most of my products in order to simplify logistics and leverage economy of scale, thereby reducing costs. Weight is kept as low as possible without compromising durability.

All products are sewn with Milspec T70/B69 Bonded Nylon Thread. I use, at a minimum, double stitch construction on all load bearing seams, the first being a straight stitch with a zigzag stitch overlapping. High stress areas like corners and short stitches are triple stitched using an overlapping zigzag. This is known as a "poor man's bartack". I use a Singer Heavy Duty for all sewing. I am definitely pushing this thing to it's limits, but it gets the job done.

I use Coyote Brown hardware and cordage, with Ranger Green fabrics.

Buckles:

All plastic hardware is exclusively ITW, the industry leader for textile hardware. The buckles are made of Acetal. From ITW's website;

"Acetal is a crystalline thermoplastic polymer material. Acetal  characteristically has excellent tensile strength, stiffness, surface  hardness and chemical resistance. Acetal has excellent flexural memory  and property retention when subjected to repeated loading. The service  temperature range, or operating temperature range for our products  molded from Acetal resin is  -40F to 140F. Acetal is recommended for  high performance applications. Physical properties remain consistent  across a wide range of temperature, relative humidity, and weather  conditions."

Metal hardware is off brand to reduce costs, the quality is nonetheless up to par.

Fabrics:

Wide Fabrics:

I utilize Brookwood Squadron Cordura Nylon Laminate for most of my products. This is a composite of 500D and 1000D Nylon that have been bonded together. It doesn't fray, and is water resistant. I also use standard 500D Cordura Nylon for some of my products. It possesses many of the same qualities as Squadron, but it can fray.

Narrow Fabrics:

17337 Nylon Webbing is used as opposed to 55301. What does this mean? Those are types of webbing. They have the same strength but the weave pattern changes how stiff they are. 17337 is less stiff, and easier to adjust.

Cordage:

1/8" shock cord and 550 Paracord are used for all respective applications.

Hook and Loop:

All hook and loop is ranger green Duragrip. 1" Velcro ONE-WRAP is used to mount pouches. Uline brand adhesive hook and loop is used for all Kydex inserts.
